Terms & Conditions
Last updated 2026.
1. Who you contract with
FileForge is owned and operated by Swapnil Sagar Gadgil ("we", "us", "our"), trading as FileForge. By using FileForge you are entering into an agreement with Swapnil Sagar Gadgil.
2. Acceptance
By accessing or continuing to use FileForge you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service. If you are using FileForge on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it; if you are using it as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age in your country.
3. The service
FileForge lets you compress, resize, crop, trim and convert images, video, audio and PDF files. Processing runs locally in your browser. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within the plan you have selected.
4. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date, keep your credentials confidential, and you are responsible for all activity under your account.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use FileForge for any unlawful purpose, or to process content you have no rights to;
- commit fraud, send spam, or impersonate others;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
- interfere with the security or integrity of the service — including malware, probing, scanning, scraping, or reverse engineering;
- circumvent plan limits or technical restrictions, for example by creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free-plan actions;
- resell or redistribute the service without our written permission.
6. Intellectual property
FileForge, including its software, interface, documentation, name and branding, is owned by Swapnil Sagar Gadgil and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership to you. You retain all rights in the files you process — since they never leave your device, we acquire no licence to them.
7. Plans, payments and Merchant of Record
The Free plan permits 2 processing actions per rolling 24 hours with a reduced file size cap. FileForge Pro is billed at $2 per month or $20 per year and renews automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account page or billing portal.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. See our Refund Policy for our 30-day money-back guarantee.
8. Service level and warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and results depend on your device and browser. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Always keep your own copy of anything important; we are not responsible for data loss.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where reasonably practicable, if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our acceptable use rules. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. On termination your right to use the service ends and your account data is deleted in line with our Privacy Notice.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim, and we exclude indirect, consequential or special damages including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your unlawful use of the service, the content you process, or your breach of these terms.
12. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date and, where significant, notified to you. Continued use means acceptance.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
